Lisle Consulting Group (LCG) was established in 2021 by Mike Lisle, a veteran of a quarter century in nonprofit administration and state and local government work. Our mission is to help small businesses and nonprofits build operational systems that drive strategic growth. We focus our efforts on established businesses that are seeking to scale, but need to develop or strengthen existing operations to position themselves for growth.
Our target audience is businesses that employ a workforce of 5-50 FTE, as businesses in this size range are frequently making the transition from being people-driven to process-driven. They have recognized that in order for the business to grow, the knowledge held by the founders and startup team must be transitioned into standard operating procedures and workflows that can be formalized and replicated on a larger scale.

Outside of questions about our services and how we can help businesses achieve operational excellence, the most common question I hear is…why is your logo a compass? It’s a great question, and I’m always excited to answer it.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by compasses. As a child, it was more a curiosity, but as I grew older, I began to understand the importance of the information a compass can provide.
When you’re in unfamiliar territory, it’s easy to lose your bearings. You can spend a lot of time wandering aimlessly, or worse, away from where you should be heading, and using up a lot of valuable resources along the way. Using a compass, whether it’s in your hand or on your phone, is a great way to regain your sense of direction and begin moving forward with more confidence.
